An Extremely Successful Cru Vallet Weekend
A magnificent launch party
A great moment was shared between the producers of Cru Vallet, guests and partners on the stage at Champilambart.
The evening began with a welcome glass of Cru Vallet. The evening’s concert by ‘Leila and the Koalas’ transported us with bewitching melodies blending folk and gospel inspirations. The presentation by the Mayor of Vallet Jérôme Marchais and the Cru Vallet association’s President Vincent Dugue showed the enthusiasm for this collective initiative led by a close-knit group of winegrowers. A tasting of Cru Vallet was then enjoyed by 200 guests. Six vintages were presented for tasting with commentary by Marie Clidière (Tout pour la Cave) and a food pairing was suggested specifically for each cru wine. The evening was made truly unforgettable by a superb venue and a fantastic atmosphere created by music and wine. This high quality event had a significant impact and helped to position Cru Vallet as one of the essential Muscadet crus.
Continued success at the Sunday morning market
This first presentation of our wines at Vallet market drew a great response. Some 600 visitors came to taste Cru Vallet. Producers presented nine wines which were tasted in a specific order, including 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2009 vintages. There was much interest in Cru Vallet and many questions were asked, such as how the plots are chosen, the winemaking methods used, the ageing potential, what food to serve with Cru Vallet, and so on. Visitors thoroughly enjoyed these talks with producers and are now genuine ambassadors for Cru Vallet.
